3 Years Later

I was chatting with my friend puravida last night on Instant Messenger, and happened to notice the clock said the time was after midnight.  All of a sudden, I got this strange sensation and double-checked the date.   It was indeed 9/11, three years after the fact!  Most or all of you know I grew up in NJ, just a short ways from NYC.  Thankfully, I didn't lose anyone personally in the attacks but know plenty of people who did.  Three years later, I wonder if we are actually safer or if we are indeed winning the war on terror.  I sincerely hope so, I honestly don't know.
.
Please pray for all the families and friends who lost loved ones that day.  Never forget.

One of my good friends growing up has her birthday on that date. I think of it every year while writing out her birthday card.

It's amazing how fast the seriousness of the country wore off after it happened ... I don't think the war on terror can be "won", per se, but perhaps we can at least stop terrorists from thinking this kind of action is worth trying. =(
