Ruminations on consumables

It's funny that I don't particularly love grapes or cucumbers, but I do like raisins quite a bit and am very fond of pickles.

Does anyone else get irritated when you open a brand new bag of potato chips and the darn thing is half empty?

Ice cream is the new ambrosia.

I tend to like the new jars that have openings on the bottom.  It's a little awkward, but it does make sense.  They also remind me of the "Jar Barf" sketch from Late Night with Conan O'Brien, which makes me chuckle.

Growing up, my mom made me sandwiches like she used to get -- peanut butter & pickle!  It totally rules, ya'll should try it.

I am not the one to ask about food right now. When I do/can eat, it's generally something kind of unusual for me. Chili and Swedish Fish (not together of course) have been the hot items lately...neither of which I eat normally.

On a separate note, I totally love the jars that open on the bottom...especially ketchup. I hate that runny stuff that comes out when you haven't used it in a while. I call it ketchup juice...YUCK! With the upside bottles, there's no chance for ketchup juice!

Swedish Fish

Yeah, ketchup juice is definitely nasty! By the way, I was very relieved to that you don't eat Swedish Fish and chili as a combination. :P

Re: Swedish Fish

Yeah, definitely not together. Pregnancy hormones can make you do weird things, but that would just be beyond gross.

You cannot say that you don't like cucumbers, but you like pickles. It's against the law.

Ice cream is truly divine. So is chocolate. You know what's even better? ice cream with chocolate in it. Like that ice cream with the little chocolate fishes in it? Yummmm.

Chocolate is my weakness.

Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches? Ewwww.

Just ewwww.

:)

Don't knock it until you've tried it. It's good stuff, I'm telling you! I didn't say I don't like cucumbers, I just don't particularly love them, which is more odd in relation to my fondness for pickles. I'll have to try to track down some of this ice cream with the little chocolate fishes you mention, give it a whirl. :)

My dad frequently puts peanut butter and a dill slice on a saltine. I have consumed on occasion and find it non-repulsive, but have no love.

Saltines

Interesting combo, I'll have to try that sometime. I still recommend the sandwich! :)

I am only a fan of sweet pickles and I cannot imagine combining them with peanut butter. Although I used to love cream cheese and jelly sandwiches.

Blech! It's funny how what seems normal to one person can be totally weird to someone else. Actually, sweet pickles are not a particular favorite of mine and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go well with peanut butter either. Oh, well! Somehow, the world keeps on turning... :P

They're all that way. Buy two bags? :-/
