Look back at LJ 2005

The first line (or so) of the first posting from each month. Quizzes and such are disregarded.

JANUARY
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

FEBRUARY
Youch. I got into a pretty bruising debate on one of the forums I belong to. It was pretty much me against three other people, going back and forth.

MARCH
Oops. Happy birthday to both Ted and to Curlyhair! Hope Feb 28 was a special day for both of them.

APRIL
It was a pretty fun extended weekend in Ft Wayne. I spent Friday messing around and chatting with my parents, then met wild14one in the afternoon for a round of mini-golf.

MAY
Just finished watching The Last Samurai with commentary on. Very interesting, one of the most enjoyable commentaries I've listened to. I was especially interested to learn more about the Japanese actors, their familiarity with English (or lack thereof beforehand), and how some were cast "against type" because it was an American director coming in with no preconceived notions of who should do what.

JUNE
I have really felt crappy for the past week. I am so tired of feeling useless and stupid all the time. I have been depressed, lethargic, and completely ineffective in getting stuff done. That "Grammarific" posting I put up tonight was started three days ago! Unbelieveable.

JULY
So, I am wondering who out there believes in the existence of demons. I suppose a corollary question would be: Is there a hell? I believe in both; supernatural forces are out there.

AUGUST
Well, it was certainly an eventful weekend! I went to Muncie to pick up squealnakedcatj on Friday night, and he assisted me in packing (particularly the kitchen). Unfortunately, we both overslept on Saturday morning and didn't get going until almost 9 AM! ccopperpot showed up a few minutes later, and I asked if he wouldn't mind driving us over to O'Malia's to pick up boxes and to the rental place to get the truck.

SEPTEMBER
Hey, fabulousj took my 10 Silly Picks poll! She's lola_joan's cousin, and I wished her a happy birthday. She must have gone to my info page later, and decided to fill it out. That was very kind of her!

OCTOBER
I have orientation at Parkview all day today, starting at 7:45 AM. Blah! I went to bed about 11 PM and slept for a couple hours, but wasn't able to stay down. Finally got up and have been doing some LJ reading, along with watching Family Guy and American Dad. Hee, hee! Funny stuff.

NOVEMBER
Hmm. I really should comment on some more journals. I've been reading most of them, just haven't stopped to type anything out. Don't know why, just not in the mood today.

DECEMBER
So, I managed to have two frustrating TV moments this week! On Wednesday, I helped jaison_laker teach the beginning fencers about sabre so I was out of the house. I taped Lost and saw that they had found a missing piece of the film, which was very exciting. Just as Locke says, "Here we go..." and the guy on the film starts to talk, my tape cut out!
