Friday Shot

In honor of my poor dead camera, I am going to occasionally post some shots that I have taken over the years.

This was taken in "panoramic view" on a trip to Chicago in May 2002, along with squealnakedcatj.  Slightly askew, but you get the idea.  Things look a little more hazy in the background when the taller buildings meet the clouds!  Cool, huh?

Sorry to hear that it never recovered :-( Are you planning on replacing it with a digital at some point? They are relatively inexpensive (yeah, I know, inexpensive still ain't free!) these days and you don't have to bother scanning anything...which makes a huge difference to the time it takes to post stuff! Unless you get a Kodak Picture CD when you develop film of course :-)

I like the shot of the skyline...my grandmother lives in Chicago with some more of my dad's family so we visit occasionally...looks familiar :-) Although usually we're in the 'burbs where she lives. It's been a while since I've been there but that building in the foreground looks a bit like the Shed Aquarium.

Camera

librarygal offered me her old film camera now that you two have 3 digitial ones between you. I would like to get digital in the next year or so -- posting shots would certainly be quicker and easier, as you said. Hopefully soon! Glad you like the pic. :)
