Season finales

Holy cow!  I about pissed myself during the last two seconds of Alias.  That was a pretty cool season finale, though it did feel like a rip-off of the movie 28 Days Later.  I still enjoyed it, though.  Lost was good, too.  I wonder why "the numbers" were bad?  And Carrie Underwood is the latest American Idol.  I was rooting for Bo Bice, but Carrie is cool  -- I was pleased to have those two contestants in the finals.  So, an all-around exciting night of TV.  Whatever shall I do over the summer? ;)

sleepless nights

Yup, thanks to my penchant for watching Lost and Alias, last night found me tossing and turning. That last scene of Alias shocked the bejeezus out of me. And it had me so wired I couldn't even conceive of sleeping!

Lost

I don't watch Lost, but apparently Schnibbles does. Psychogryphon called Schnibbles last night to find that Schnibbles was at the animal hospital. It turns out that there was a quiet scene in Lost with talking that ended in a sudden eplosive sound. It freaked out their cat Chips who jumped and somehow ran into an end table. Schnibbles tried to check on the cat to see if she was ok, but she ran away in fear, and tried to go down the basement steps. However, she was going to fast and fell down them. Schnibbles then noticed that Chips' back legs weren't "working" and took her to the vet. Last I heard they're not sure what's wrong with her legs, but think it could be a cardiovascular thing, since the vet noticed that chips has a heart-murmer while she was being checked over.

Re: Lost

Poor Chips! That's pretty nuts. I bet it was the scene in which the guy was very carefully handling dynamite, and just when they thought it was safe, he went BOOM!!! Maybe schnibbles will post an update about their cat when they know more, hope she's OK.

OK, I don't really watch Alias, but this has made me curious. Can someone describe that last scene?

Description

The main characer's fiance is driving and goes something like, "If we're going to get married, I can't keep this secret from you anymore." Sydney (the main character) looks alarmed, and the camera cuts back to him saying, "First off, my name isn't Michael Vaughn..." Just as he's saying this, you see a truck's grill come flying towards the window and it smashes into them!!! Fade to black...

As leah_leanna said, it "shocked the bejeezus out of" us!

Man I used to watch Alias every week but didn't make it past the first few eps this year. Actually I stopped watching sometime in March I think. Not intentionally, just happened to not have time any more :-) But now you've made me curious; I may have to check and see if my SageTV computer (which can record three shows at once :-) happens to still have the last few eps saved so I can squeeze 'em in somewhere!

Alias

Oddly enough, I was the same way. The season started off slow, and I got out of the habit of watching it. Plus, I had decided to watch "That 70's Show" instead of "Lost." However, "T7S" has really gone downhill in the last year, and I started to pick up "Lost" about halfway through the season. For a few weeks, I might or might not stick around to watch "Alias." As the season went along, I started being more faithful about watching again and enjoyed the last few weeks.
